Terms of Service

Effective June 15, 2026

PrairieCall is an AI answering service based in Champaign, Illinois. These terms cover what we provide, what you pay, and how either of us can end the arrangement. We wrote them in plain English on purpose. Subscribing to PrairieCall means you agree to them.

The Service

Our AI receptionist, Claire, answers your incoming calls 24/7, captures caller details, and — depending on your plan — books appointments to your calendar. Callers are told they're speaking with an AI assistant; we don't pretend otherwise. Any caller who asks for a person is transferred or has a message taken, on every plan.

Pricing & Billing

PrairieCall is a flat monthly subscription — $297, $497, or $997 depending on the plan you choose. Billing is monthly in advance, with no contract and no annual commitment. There are no per-minute charges, no rounding charges, and no fees for spam calls or hang-ups.

Each plan includes a monthly call allowance. We alert you at 80% and 100% of it. If you go over, we keep answering your calls and your price does not change that month. Two months over in a row and we move you up a tier — we tell you first, or you can opt into auto-upgrade. You will never get a surprise bill.

Cancellation

Service is month-to-month. You can cancel in your dashboard any day, and it takes effect the same day — no cancellation by email, no retention gauntlet. Because you pay monthly in advance, we refund the unused days of the month you cancel, pro-rated. You keep your own phone number with your own carrier the entire time; there is no porting and no lock-in.

Our Service Guarantee

Every call is recorded and transcribed. If Claire materially mishandles a call — wrong information, a booking that didn't land, or a caller who asked for a person and didn't get one — show us the call and that month costs you nothing. One claim per quarter, no forms, no fight. We honor this in writing.

Call Recording & Caller Consent

Illinois is a two-party consent state. Every call PrairieCall answers is recorded and transcribed, and every caller is informed of that at the start of the call. How we handle caller recordings, transcripts, and data — and how a caller can request deletion — is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use PrairieCall only for lawful business purposes and for a phone line you control. You may not use the service to deceive callers about who or what they're speaking with, to place outbound calls without consent, or for anything that violates telemarketing, recording, or consumer-protection law. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information you give us to build your receptionist.

Service Availability

PrairieCall runs on Retell AI's voice infrastructure. We work to keep the service answering every call, every hour, but no telephone or software service is uninterrupted. We are not liable for outages outside our control — carrier failures, internet disruptions, or infrastructure-provider downtime. Where a call is mishandled because of something on our side, the guarantee above is how we make it right.

Limitation of Liability

PrairieCall is an answering service, not a party to whatever business you transact with your callers. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the month the issue occurred — and the service guarantee is the primary remedy for a mishandled call. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost business from a missed or misrouted call.

Changes to These Terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes that affect your price or how we handle your data will be sent to you directly before they take effect.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Champaign County, Illinois is the venue for any dispute that can't be resolved by talking it through first.
